Playfina lottery over one fortnight

Take one fortnight between two Playfina lottery draws. A player who deposits A$50 twice gets two tickets, one per deposit. A player who deposits A$100 once gets three. Same money, different count, because tickets come from deposit bands.

The pool on the page in October was A$6,050 + 20,000 free spins, split over 700 winning tickets. The table holds the key facts. The deposits themselves can also carry the welcome offer from the Playfina deposit bonus page.

That headline pool is the first thing to check, because the prize table underneath does not add up to it:

The spins and the ticket count match; the cash is A$200 apart, and Playfina does not explain why.

How do I win the lottery?

The public page lists the prize table, the ticket bands, the countdown and the winners of previous draws. Its How to win section did not show rules to us. What we know: tickets come with deposits of A$30 or more, and the draw picks 700 tickets.

Playfina ticket bands and split deposits

The six bands set the count: A$30–74 one ticket, A$75–154 three, A$155–309 seven, A$310–769 fifteen, A$770–1,539 forty, from A$1,540 a hundred. The ticket price falls from A$30 to A$15 as the deposit rises.

Whether splitting a deposit costs or gains tickets depends on where the pieces land. Two A$50 deposits sit in the lowest band and give one ticket each, so combining them into A$100 gains a ticket. But the bands are not smooth, and the same A$300 can bring very different counts:

How A$300 is depositedBand of each depositTickets
One deposit of A$300A$155–3097
Two deposits of A$150A$75–1546
Four deposits of A$75A$75–15412
Ten deposits of A$30A$30–7410

So the easy assumption is wrong: one bigger deposit is not always better. Four A$75 deposits give more tickets than one A$300. That is a fact about the bands, not advice to deposit more often or more money; ten deposits in a fortnight is a pattern worth noticing in yourself.

In the fortnight example, A$100 in one payment lands in the A$75–154 band and gives three tickets; two payments of A$50 sit in the lowest band and give one each. Below A$30 a deposit gives none.

Playfina lottery draw days

Every second Wednesday, judging by the previous draws on the page: 19 August, 2 September, 16 September, 30 September and 14 October.

Playfina does not publish a calendar. A countdown on the lottery page shows the time to the next draw, and that is the only official timing. If the rhythm holds, draws continue every 14 days from 14 October.

Two things the page does not answer. Whether a deposit made on draw day counts for that draw or the next. And whether tickets that did not win carry over to a later draw or expire with the draw. The safe reading for both is the strict one: a ticket belongs to one draw only.

For the fortnight example that means timing matters as much as amount. A A$100 deposit on the Thursday after a draw sits in the pool for almost two weeks; the same deposit on a Wednesday afternoon may land in the draw that day or in the next one, and only support can say which.

Winners appear under Winners of previous lottery, with masked names and the prize next to each, grouped by draw date.

  • Draw rhythm: every 14 days, on Wednesdays, by the recent list.
  • Timing source: the countdown on the lottery page, not a published calendar.
  • Not stated: draw-day cut-off and whether tickets carry over.

Playfina lottery prizes: 700 per draw

700 prizes per draw at six levels. Cash: 50 × A$30, 50 × A$25, 100 × A$15, 200 × A$8. Spins: 100 × 100 FS and 200 × 50 FS. The table shows the levels and ticket counts.

The cash lines add to A$5,850, not the A$6,050 in the headline. The spins match at 20,000. We show both numbers as the page gives them.

In practice most wins are small. Four hundred of the 700 winning tickets pay A$8 or 50 free spins, and only 100 pay A$25 or more.

Set those prizes against the ticket prices from the bands. A ticket costs between A$15 and A$30 of deposit, and the most common cash prize is A$8. Even the top prize, A$30, only returns the price of one ticket from the lowest band. The lottery gives something back on deposits; it does not pay for them.

Do Playfina lottery prizes carry wagering?

The lottery page does not publish wagering for its prizes, and the bonus terms do not mention the lottery by name.

Free spin prizes follow Playfina's general free spin rule: you activate them in the Bonuses tab, and what they win is bonus money until wagered. For cash prizes, ask support. Cashback and rakeback on the same site carry x40, so do not assume cash prizes are free of wagering until support confirms it in writing.

The stakes are small either way. The best cash prize is A$30, the most common one A$8. If the lottery becomes the reason to make a deposit, it is costing more than it pays. Set a deposit limit in the account and keep Gambling Help Online, 1800 858 858, in mind.

  • Free spin prizes: activated in the Bonuses tab, winnings are bonus money.
  • Cash prizes: wagering not stated, confirm with support before cashing out.
  • Prize size: A$8 to A$30 in cash, below or equal to one ticket's price.

Playfina FAQ

Is the Playfina lottery a real lottery?

It is a promotional draw run by the casino, not a licensed lottery. Tickets come with deposits, and Playfina sets the prizes and the draw. Its rules are not shown on the public page, and Playfina's licence is from the Tobique Gaming Commission, not Australia.

Do lottery tickets carry over to the next draw?

The page does not say. Treat each ticket as valid for one draw only until support tells you otherwise, and plan deposits with that in mind. The winners list is grouped by draw date, which fits the one-draw reading.

How are Playfina lottery prizes paid?

To your account, as cash or free spins, according to the prize table. Free spins are activated in the Bonuses tab; wagering on cash prizes is not published.

Does the lottery affect my welcome bonus?

The lottery page does not present tickets as a bonus, and the bonus terms do not mention it. Ask support to be sure. The lootbox is different: it is a deposit promotion, and only one bonus can be active at a time.

What are the odds in the Playfina lottery?

Unknown. 700 tickets win per draw, but Playfina does not publish how many tickets are in it. Without that number no one can give you real odds. The only published proportion is among winners: one winning ticket in seven pays A$25 or more.
